Immediately following Elkhorn, I thought I was feeling fairly good. Sunday - Wednesday were rest days, then I tried an easy 3 miler Thursday followed by another short run today. During both runs I felt fine, but later in the afternoon today, I noticed fatigue, soreness and continued swelling of my feet and ankles. They really took a beating with the rocky trails. Perhaps I should have done a little research about recovery at some point along the way. A question to the more knowledgeable runners - how many days of rest before starting up again?
